i purchased this tool with on purpose in mind: to remove the lock nut on my collapsible but stock. the tool failed to perform this task. what it did succeed in doing was slip off the nut and leave it with a nice shiny gouge. the lug on the spanner wrench is too small/shallow. i will now order a new nut and the tool that bushmaster makes which has three lugs instead of one. i can not speak to how well the other features perform.

The tool is great for what it does. It also looks great. Problem is the paint interferes with the fit. I used it to undo a barrel nut that was a bit tight and the paint intefered with the fit and some paint came off. Would have been better anodized or parkerized.
