I haven''''t tried it in the field yet, but I''''m sure it will be a big improvement over the original hard rubber pad.
It was a very tight fit to get it on my Mossberg 590A1 collapsible
stock, compared to the original pad.
I needed the help of a flat tip screwdriver to stretch it over
the butt plate.
When installed, it fits very well and the Mossberg looks like it was born with it.

This pad has reduced recoil from my Mossberg 500 SPX by at least 50%. I never expected such a huge difference. Installation is quick and easy. In my opinion, this pad is a must have for any 12 gauge with a tactical stock.

Put this on my Remington 870 which has a collapsible stock. This does what is promises including reducing the felt recoil when using 3 00 buck. Well worth the price.
