The NRA offers a wide selection of youth shooting programs for youths interested in youth rifles in general or sport. NRA Shooting Sports Camps provide youths or nearly anyone the opportunity to learn, experience, share, and grow in the shooting sports. The most recognized hunting program all over the US, is the Hunter Education Program. The NRA graduate program offers youths outdoor skills and safety training for real life situations. It is only open to those who have completed hunter-safety training and testing of youth's skills. Those are just a few of the important youth gun programs, I am sure there are more.

Eventually it will come time to take your youngster hunting when they feel ready and are comfortable with there youth rifle. From experience you never forget the first deer you get and how awesome it feels to shoot one for the very first time with your youth rifle. You then realize all of the practice with your youth firearms paid off. The responsibility, patience and practice required to own a kids gun and shoot a youth firearm is sure to impress any parent or guardian. Years from now your child can tell their youth hunting stories and experiences, expressing how glad they are that they dedicated time to learning how to properly use their youth rifle under the supervision of responsible adults and mentors.
